.xyz is the cheapest extension we sell and by far the most available. Two-letter, three-letter and dictionary-word names that vanished from every other extension a decade ago are still free here, which makes it genuinely useful for short URLs, redirects, campaign pages and side projects.
The honest problem is spam. Low prices attracted volume, volume attracted abuse, and a proportion of email filters and cautious users treat .xyz with suspicion as a result. If your business depends on cold email reaching an inbox, this is the wrong extension and no amount of configuration fully fixes it.
Used with clear eyes it is fine: hold it for a redirect, a link shortener, a hackathon project or a name you want to sit on cheaply. Do not put your invoicing address on it.
Who .xyz is right for
Choose .xyz for short redirects, link shorteners, experiments and side projects — anywhere cheap availability matters more than institutional credibility.
What .xyz costs over time
Registration is ₹150 and renewal is ₹1,299 a year, both including 18% GST. Over two years that is ₹1,449, and over five years ₹5,347.
We print the second number because it is the one that decides whether an extension is cheap. Full comparison on the 2026 domain price list.
