Refund Policy
When a domain purchase can and cannot be refunded, stated plainly rather than buried. Last updated August 2026.
Draft for review. Check against the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules 2020 and your registrar agreement before launch.
The short version
Domain registrations are generally not refundable. This is not us being difficult: the moment a domain is registered, we have paid the registry for it and that payment cannot be reversed. Every registrar in the world works this way, and any who claim otherwise are either absorbing the cost or not telling you something.
When we will refund
- We took your money and the domain was never registered. Full refund, always, and we will usually spot it before you do.
- Duplicate payment for the same order — the extra is returned in full.
- We registered the wrong name through our own error. Full refund or we register the correct one at our cost, whichever you prefer.
- Hosting bundles, within 7 days of purchase, for the hosting portion. The domain portion follows the rule above.
When we cannot refund
- You changed your mind about a domain that is already registered
- You made a typing error in the name and only noticed later — check the confirmation screen carefully
- You no longer want a domain part-way through its term
- A renewal that has already been processed after due notice was given
In the typing-error case, tell us within an hour. Some registries have a brief grace window and we will try, but we cannot promise it.
Transfers
A transfer fee is refundable if the transfer fails for a reason on our side. It is not refundable if the transfer fails because the domain was locked, the auth code was wrong, or the losing registrar refused — the fee has already been paid onward by then.
How to ask
Email info@avancezone.com with your order number, or telephone +91-95851-60363. We reply within one working day and approved refunds reach the original payment method within 5–7 working days.
If you are unhappy with the outcome
Ask for it to be escalated and a person with authority will look at it again. We would rather resolve a complaint than win an argument with somebody who bought from us in good faith.
